Army Oks Sabine-Neches deepening

The Sabine-Neches Waterway moved a step closer to federal authorization for a deepening and widening project that would keep the ship channel competitive with others along the Gulf Coast.

The Department of the Army’s assistant secretary for civil works signed the document prepared by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in support of the effort to deepen the channel to 48 feet from its current 40 feet. Continue reading
